Epidural Steroid Injection Raleigh

Pain in any body part can be bothersome, and if it is chronic and complex to treat, it quickly becomes frustrating. If you have difficulty treating pain in your legs or arms due to inflamed spinal nerves, then an epidural steroid injection can help you provide relief. The injections may help relieve pain from conditions such as cervicogenic headache, degenerative disc disease, failed back surgery syndrome, herniated disc, pinched nerves, sciatica, spinal stenosis, herniated disc, etc. At Center For Auto Accident Injury Treatment, we are committed to helping patients find relief from pain. With the help of our accurate diagnosis, we have been able to lead our patients on the path to recovery.

What are the Benefits of Epidural Steroid Injection?

  • Relieves pain and discomfort
  • It improves the ability to perform daily activities
  • Delays or reduces the need for invasive procedures
  • Better quality of life

How Does Epidural Steroid Injection Work?

We thoroughly examine the patient’s medical history, family history, signs, or symptoms. It is an outpatient procedure that aims to make the patient feel as comfortable as possible during the procedure. We may use mild sedation to help the patient relax while lying face down. Then, we will apply local anesthesia to the injection site to numb the skin. After that, a contrasting dye is inserted into the targeted area using fluoroscopy. Then, the needle is carefully placed into the fluid-filled area around the nerves in your spine. The medicine is then slowly injected and spreads to the area requiring pain relief. After the procedure, a bandage is placed on the injection site. Many experience pain relief within a few days. If the patient has difficulty walking, it may need to be observed for extended periods. Patient care is of utmost importance before, during, and after the procedure, and we go to lengths to achieve it.
